Construction company Reeves and Icon have an opportunity for a motivated Logistics Manager to join our Project Team at our office in Kukum, Honiara. To support our construction projects with moving materials, goods and equipment from overseas to Honiara and Honiara to Outer Provinces. To ensure that they are in the right place at the right time to meet project demand.

What are we looking for?
A proactive and self-motivated Logistician to:

• Lead the implementation of good practice logistics strategy, processes and procedures
• Work closely with Cost Manager & Contract Administrator to negotiate rates and contracts, monitor quality and delivery times.
• Formulate and maintain a local storage strategy between clearance for Port and incorporation of materials into the works
• Ensure material is delivered by most cost-effective method to outer Provinces (ie Western Province).
• Support the Site Manager in establishing and managing stock levels, the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements.
• Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement.
• Oversee the maintenance of the fleet for vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Manage site and residential accommodation for the team.
• Ensure client relationships are managed in a professional manner at all times.

What you will have:

• Proven experience in logistics management, in an international environment
• Knowledge of Customs and other applicable regulations related to import of goods materials
• Very strong IT skills (office applications, collaborating software, inventory systems)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels with all project stakeholders – oral and written in Pijin and English
