Call For Expressions of Interest
Directors of Investment Corporation of Solomon Islands (ICSI)

As required by the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Act of 2007 and the 2010 Regulations made under that Act, the Board of the Investment Corporation of Solomon Islands (ICSI) calls for Expressions of Interest from those who wish to be considered for the position of being a director of the Board of ICSI.

ICSI is responsible for the implementation of the government policy regarding public sector participation in commercial investment and is currently involved with investments in the finance, transportation, telecommunications, timber, manufacturing, and fixed income sectors.

ICSI is seeking candidates who have relevant qualifications, experience, and exposure at board level and who are willing to participate and be an active part of a group that participates in the development and implementation of strategic aspirations of the business.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria at a minimum:

• Academic qualifications at degree level and above, preferably in Economics, Forestry, Business Management, Finance or Law or any other appropriate discipline to be determined by ICSI.
• Proven company directorship experience in public, private together with a good understanding of SOE Act 2007 and other subsidiary laws.
• Be able to demonstrate effective financial and commercial abilities and business acumen in any large and successful private organization.
• Be able to demonstrate experience in corporate strategic planning and business and investment management.
• Be able to demonstrate proven corporate governance and risk management experience.
