Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Security to join our dynamic team at the Bulk Shop.
The Head of Security plays a crucial role in overseeing security operations, managing security personnel, protecting sites and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the company.

Job Title: Head of Security
Report to: Managing Director
Location: Head Office and Bulk Shop sites
Job Type: Fixed Term
Key Responsibilities:
A. Manage Security Personnel
- Managing security staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Supervise security shift and review timesheets weekly for discrepancies with unnecessary overtime.
- Managing staff issues such as DAF, counseling and payroll.
- Plan and provide training to security personnel on a regular basis.
- Monitor and manage the performance of security personnel in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures and KPIs.
- Conduct security inductions for new hires.
B. Security Operations
- Supervising security operations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Effectively patrolling designated areas and overseeing security protocols.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the company’s operations.
- Apprehend shop lifters and report all theft incidents to police for prosecution.
- Providing evidence in court whenever required.
C. OHS & Risk Assessment
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety of the company’s employees, assets, and facilities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate potential threats.
- Report any OSH and/or potential hazard identified in the workplace.
- Implement the color risk protocols as needed.
- Ensuring adherence to security regulations, protocols and industry standards.
D. Crime Prevention
- Safeguarding assets, people, and property from potential harm, theft, or damage.
- Managing conflict through negotiation.
- Responding to calls for assistance in a timely manner.
- Demonstrating proficiency in surveillance and emergency response procedures in the event of crowd disorder or any tense situations.
E. Investigation
- Monitor all incidents reports, ensuring accurate and effective handling and initiating of the investigation process.
- Conduct investigations into allegations of theft or major misconduct in the workplace.
- Properly document theft incidents that occur in the workplace.
- Conducting investigations into security threats and breaches to prevent future incidents.
F. Security System
- Monitor security systems and respond to incidents and emergencies
- Ensure all sites access to CCTV systems
- Monitor CCTV systems, and patrols for potential security risk
- Monitor the GPS tracking system with data provided by security support.
G. Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership skills to lead and train security teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting security reports and improvement plans to executives.
- Proficiency in the use of Computer Program such as: Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and related software.
H. Roster
- Five (5) & half days’ work, one (1) & half day off per week
