The Role
The Assistant Public Diplomacy Officer will assist other members of the High Commission’s Strategic Communications and Public Diplomacy Team in coordinating and liaising with media, preparing content for the High Commission’s social media pages and website, and organising and delivering public diplomacy events and activities.

About You
You must have the following:

Qualification

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, in journalism, communications, public relations and/or graphic design preferred

Experience

  • In the absence of qualifications, demonstrated relevant work experience in public relations, marketing, event management, or graphic design is desirable.
  • Competency or a demonstrated ability to learn software programs, such as website management and graphic design.
  • Good written English and Solomon Islands Pidgin skills essential.
  • Sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills.

Remuneration
The position level is LE4 (salary is up to SBD 135,806 per annum).
